From The East

I hope everyone had a great summer and you are ready for an exciting and busy fall. To bring you up to date we held our Lodge dedication on our last meeting date. We had around 50 for dinner and many more for the program with the help of the Grand Lodge officers.

We have started a Tuesday morning coffee hour; a time for fun and fellowship. We have seen many friends and look forward to seeing more. Nick, thanks for your work on this. This is open to anyone so come and bring a friend.

We finished much of the work around our new lodge with the tireless efforts of our trustees. We need to give them a big round of thanks. We still have work to do with our landscaping. How about ‘Adopt a bush for the lodge’? We will be forming a list of needs that members and friends may purchase in the name of someone special.

We have held a Fellowcraft degree and have three more to do yet. We will be holding a Master Mason degree on Sept. 16 and we are looking for your support as well as assistance in the degree. Please contact an officer to offer help.

I have set up some special dates for everyone to note:

Sept 2 - First regular meeting of the fall
Sept 16 - Short meeting and MM degree
Oct 7 - Regular meeting with Honor 50 year members
Oct 21 - Short meeting with program on Civil War with Dan Bradford
Nov 4 - Regular meeting with election of officers for 2009
Nov 18 - Regular meeting with Honor Past Masters
Dec 2 - Regular meeting with member recognitions

With a new season, I hope to see many new faces in lodge. We are looking for members that are interested in serving our lodge. Please let us know your interest.

If there is something we can do for you please let someone know. Need a ride to lodge? Give a call. Have you or family member been under the weather? Let us know.

See you in lodge,

Dale Holmen PM
