FROM THE EAST AGAIN

 

It has been some time but I am back, just like that bad penny.  Some say the third time is the charm or keep doing it until you get it right.  Which ever you think might fit you can let me know, but for better or worse, I will be the Master in Doric Lodge for the year 2008.

 

On election night, there were a few surprises and in the end, Doric will have an all-new looking line of officers.  This will be a very exciting year for Doric with moving into our new building.  With your help, we want to make it the place to be on the East Side.

 

We will be having an open installation of officers starting at 7:00 PM at the East Side Club, our current meeting location and meeting night.  If possible, please come and show your support to our new officers for 2008.

 

We as slated to be in our new home in February at the last report.  Once in the building I am planning a corner stone lying or dedication of the building in the spring with the help of the Grand Master, more information to follow.

 

I would like to see our building used by more than one Masonic group.  I would like to see us open our building to other civic or community groups in the area.  I would like to see us have some family activities such as cards and movies in our building.  I am also open to other ideas you might have or be interested in hosting.

 

This is a special year for Doric Lodge.  It is like a new beginning, we do not have do things because we always did it that way.  This year will also be a challenging year for Doric.  There will not be any Man to Mason classes and we will need to do more degree work in Lodge.  We need you to step up and refresh what you use to do or better yet learn a new part.  We need members to help with the degree work.

 

This will be a fun and exciting year so come and join in the fun.  It will all start with installation of officers on Dec 18.  See you there!

 

Also note that there will be no meeting on January 1st, 2008
