Brethren,

 

My name is Charles “Chuck” Porter, Jr. and it gives me great pleasure to represent Doric Lodge as your Master for the year 2007.  It will be a very busy year for not only the lodge, but for me as well.

 

First of all, my top priority is to find a new lodge building so we  have a place we can all call “home”.  I plan to announce a new building committee in January ‘07.  Second, we have to get more of our existing members to come to lodge.  There are a lot of members I don’t even know and would like to change that.  If you are in need of a ride, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to call myself or any of the other lodge officers.  It would be great to see you at lodge!

 

I plan on having a Past Masters night either in April or May ‘07 at the Eastside Businessman’s Club with a dinner prior to the meeting.  The annual chicken barbeque is also planned for August ’07.  If there are other lodge activities you would like to see, please let me know.  I am also working on getting some guest speakers for next year.

 

The installation of officers will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 7:30 pm.  This will be a closed installation and I hope to see as many members as possible in attendance.

 

Just a reminder regarding our current meeting spot, the Eastside Businessman’s Club:  parking is on the top (handicap parking is below) and if the door is locked, walk down below and enter through the back door.  Again, please call myself or any lodge officer if you need a ride.
