Welcome the “Dog Days of summer”. I hope everyone is
nice and warm; remember winter will soon be upon us.
With that, it is time to stat thinking about fall and
what we want to do to make our Lodge grow and be the
place to be. I have a few goals that I would like to
see us under take this fall:
1. Start
getting members interested in learning new degree
parts. We need to rely more on our members for the
work.
2. As
a group do more Lodge visits.
3. Work
more on Masonic education - it can be fun.
4. Look
into where we will be as a Lodge in the next few years.
The Trustees have compiled the results of there survey
now what do we do?
We
still have events this summer to attend to:
August 3rd we will be doing an EA degree for Mr. Dave
Dewey at the Oregon Lodge starting at 7:00. We will
open at 6:30, please come and assist by your presents.
On
August 6th, we will have our Chicken BBQ. Please note
the flyer you received from Kelly Moore. Please RSVP to
him and bring your friends; it should be a great time.
August is our time again to help at the VA on Sunday
mornings. We need to be there by 9:00 am and there is
no limit to the number of members that help so show your
support for our Veterans.
We
are always looking for new members so talk it up. If
you need petitions, contact either Mitch Custer or
myself. In the fall, we are looking at up to three new
EA’s at this time, which will mean FC and MM degree work
to follow. We will be looking for your help.
If
you or anyone you know is in the hospital or just under
the weather, please let one of the officers know. If
you need any type of assistance please give a call - we
are brothers and want to help.
Stay cool and we look to seeing you in Oregon on the
3rd, McFarland on the 6th, VA each Sunday and then back
in Lodge on Tuesday Sept. 5.
