From The East

It looks like summer is upon us.  The grass is green and the lawn mowers are active.  That means it will soon be time for Doric to go dark for the summer.  We will be dark in the months of July and August but we still have two meetings left before that time.  Please come and visit, we would love to see you in Lodge.

We still need to work out some details but we should be doing some degree work over the summer.  If interested in helping please contact one of the officers or myself to let us know where you could help.

We are still planning our summer chicken dinner even though we no longer have our own property. Information to follow.  We will be presenting our scholarships in the coming days at both Monona Grove and McFarland High Schools. The Monona Grove recipient is Jacob Turino and the McFarland recipient is Melisssa Dixon.

Doric will be assisting a young man from the Cottage Grove area in his attendance to the State DeMoly Conclave this year.  One of the areas we have not spent much time in is working with our youth.  This could be a change in that area.  Remember the Masonic Youth groups for your kids and grandkids.  Get them a good start on life.

Have a great summer and we do hope to see you in Lodge yet this spring or at some of our degree work.
