I hope
everyone had a Merry Christmas and wish you a safe and
Happy New Year. It is now time to get started with our
new year at Doric. The officers are installed and in
place. I would like to thank everyone for their
attendance at our installation on Dec. 20th
and a special thanks to our installing Master - Junior
Grand Deacon Joe Harker and installing Marshal - Junior
Grand Warden John Wilke.
Our special
committees are being formed and should be working by the
first of Jan. As a Lodge we will have a lot of work to
do over the next few months. We will need help sorting
out what we will keep and what must go. This would be a
good time to thank Kent Olsen for the use of a storage
unit at Stuff & Store on Cottage Grove Rd. This will be
used for our major items but many items MUST go.
I mentioned
before that Doric will host the Man to Mason to Shrine
on March 25th. Your help will be needed that
day so if called please have an open heart to serve.
You could also help by getting signed petitions for new
Doric members. We will be doing degree work in Lodge
before then too. Please come and lend a supporting hand
if only on the side lines. We will only be in our
building for four more months so why not make one last
trip to see the place before the move.
I hope to have
some guest stories in the coming months of your favorite
remembrances. Please put on your thinking cap and put
them down on paper; I will try to include as many as
possible over the next few months
We will try to
keep everyone informed and up to date on our progress
over the year but the best way to stay informed is to be
in attendance.

PAST MASTERS
NIGHT – Feb 21, 2006 - We will be having a special Past
Masters Night at Doric to honor all Past Masters of
Doric. There will be something special that evening so
please join us.
MAN TO SHRINER
- March 25, 2006 - This event is being put on at Doric.
This will be a full day and we need your help with the
degrees, mentors and sideline support. Please join our
efforts for the Masonic Family.
FUN DAY AT
DORIC – Sunday March 26, 2006 - Will be a special
program for family and friends put on by the Radio
Active Theater group of Madison. They have used our
building in the past for practice and in payment will
present a free show. This will be a reenactment of the
old radio shows of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Come and
join the fun and bring you friends.
LODGE MEETINGS
Remember all
lodge meetings are the 1st and 3rd
Tuesdays of the month beginning at 7:30 pm. Our
Stewarts say there will be treats after every meeting.
All special meetings (degree work) will be announced at
the meetings if needed.
