Greetings Brethren,

Please check out our new website at www.doriclodge.com . It is our hope that the Doric website will be come your main source for Lodge news and information. We are attempting to improve lodge communications, minimize expenses, and reduce the effort required to produce and mail the Doric Column newsletter. Currently it costs the lodge approximately $1000.00 annually for printing and postage expenses. It also requires about 2 to 2.5 hours to prepare and deliver the 330 newsletters for the post office each month. The post office requires about four working days to deliver it to you before the first meeting of the month if it is to arrive on time. The website only costs about $40.00 per year. That cost was donated to the lodge. This is a great move for the lodge and has tremendous potential in many ways. The newsletter will not be eliminated, and it will appear on the Doric website. We simply want to minimize the hard copy mail-out. And only send it to those who want, or need to continue receiving it. I believe we can then significantly reduce this expense and the burden of the newsletter preparation. As well as improve efficiency and communication to all members of the lodge. You will continue to receive the Doric Column newsletter until the end of the year. Please notify us if you wish to continue receiving the Doric Column newsletter, or give us your comments before then.
