Spring has sprung at last and know that everyone is looking forward to getting out and enjoying the warm weather… and we hope that includes joining us at Starlite and visiting other Chapters. The 2007-2008 term is drawing to a close, but there is much on the horizon for the coming year. We held elections the first meeting in April, and the results are: Diane Moore WM, Jim Moore WP, Barb Ross AM, Roger Reukauf AP, Gail Piper Secretary, Ann Recob Treasurer, Angie Dunkel Conductress, Beth Wroblewski Assoc Conductress. Please mark your calendars for an “open” installation of officers on Sunday, June 22nd at 1:30pm (Sun Prairie Masonic Center).

Our meeting on April 16th was Friends Night, and also a special night to honor Susan Spencer with her 50 year pin; an enjoyable evening with lots of sideliners!

On a sadder note, we have lost two Starlite members in the last month. Grace Edmunds, a charter member, passed away on March 25th and Helene Okray, a lifetime and very active member passed on April 20th. Star services were held for both. Please keep the families of these special ladies in your prayers.

Doric Lodge opened their new lodge for Starlite members to visit on April 20th, and will have a general open house on Sunday May 4th. We encourage everyone to make a point of attending, as we will have a discussion of our options at our next meeting on May 7th. We will also be honoring our Secretary and Treasurer as well as other Secretaries and Treasurers at this meeting.

Grand Chapter is rapidly approaching and hope that many of you are planning on attending; remember every registered member is now allowed to vote - May 20th – 22nd at the Stevens Point Holiday Inn Convention Center. Kris Engbring will be installed as
Worthy Grand Matron on Thursday afternoon, May 22nd!! Hope to see you there.
